The Adoption Process

Once you fill out an application to adopt a dog, a member of our team will review it, check your vet reference, and conduct a home visit, either virtually or in person. We will then connect approved adopters to the foster where they can have a meet and greet and learn more about the dog. If this goes well, we can complete the adoption! If you are not local to Memphis, no worries—we have transport options available! Please note the requirements for adoption: 1. Must be 18 years of age or older to adopt. 2. All current pets must be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccines and preventatives. 3. Provide your landlord's contact info if you are renting. 4. Agree to a home check. Additionally, please be aware of the adoption fees that may apply.

At The Rescued Pack, our adoption fees play a crucial role in helping us cover the costs associated with caring for and ensuring the well-being of the animals in our program. If you're looking to adopt a dog, check the individual pet listings for the specific adoption fees.

These fees are essential to guarantee that each animal receives the necessary medical care, vaccinations, spaying or neutering, and behavioral assessments before they go to their new homes. Additionally, if the animal is old enough, they will have received the ProHeart 6 injection, which helps prevent heartworm disease for up to six months. This preventative care reflects our commitment to the long-term health of every animal in our care.
