Our Adoption Process

1. Browse our available dogs and find one that steals your heart

2. Apply- this helps us understand who you are and what your lifestyle is so we can match you with the best dog 

3. Once we approve you application, we will set up a meet and greet with the foster and you

4. If it is a good match, we will have you sign the contract and pay the fee of $350 for a puppy or $300 for an adult dog. 

5. Take your new best friend home!

What we look for in an adopter

Our goal isn't just to get a dog adopted, we want to make sure each adopter is ready to make a commitment to a dog and give them the time, patience and love they deserve. We look at each potential adopters lifestyle, experience, other pets and vet references. This helps ensure a good match for the dog. We value adopters who are prepared for the commitment, understand that dogs need time to adjust, are willing to continue training and provide structure, have realistic expectations about the dog they are adopting and are commited to providing regular veterinary care.

Puppies- $350

Adult dogs - $300

Seniors - $250

Each dog or cat we adopt out is spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped and has had heartworm treatment if they were heartworm positive when they came into care. They have also been on heartworm preventatives while in our care. 

Yes!  We allow a 2 week trial period to make sure you and your new pet adjust and it is a good match. Adopter must pay 50% of the adoption fee as a refundable deposit at the time the dog is placed in your home. 

If everything works out at the end of the 2 weeks, the remaining percentage of the adoption fee must be paid and the contract must be signed.

Yes! For an additional fee of $165 we transport to places such as Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania,  New Jersey and Connecticut. 

We use Hearts LLC for transport
